New Mexico Post #2

While the men worked on the concrete project, we ladies worked on
our own project.....a new library for the church & school!

   Our first look at ALL the books to be sorted, wiped down & shelved!

This is an organized mess!

Shelves had to be built, so we had to wait until the concrete was poured to finish...

                              This was just before they finished building the shelves.

 The last two are the finished project! What a huge project, but we are so glad
to have been there to help!

So many other projects were accomplished! Plumbing, electrical, cleaning, etc.
I'll end this post with a few of them (if you have any questions about them
please leave a comment and I will answer you that way).

All glory to God for the work that was done! He provided the money for the
projects, as Pastor Chitty does everything by faith! And does not fail to give
glory to God about it!!We look forward to going back out to help in the future!

                         

New Mexico Month Long Missions Trip

We headed west on October 9th and after driving three 10 hour days (!)
we finally arrived in Waterflow, New Mexico on Wednesday night, the
11th for a month long mission to help the Chitty family there.

Because of the length of the trip and the amount of projects accomplished,
I decided to split this into two posts.

An Unexpected Gift

That's right.....we were blessed at the beginning of July with a gift we
never expected! Our Pastor told us one Sunday morning as we were
leaving church that a family in the church wanted to donate their
fifth-wheel trailer to our ministry if we were interested! Talk about
shocked.....and then humbled! How can you ever thank someone for
such a gift! I know many have been praying about this with us and it
is so exciting to share these pictures......

The Living Room

The door on the right is the bathroom & the bedroom is down the hall.

We must give God all the glory for making this happen! We had a certain floor
plan in mind, but we also had both children at home. Now with Josiah at college,
this will work perfect for Erin to still travel with us as the couch holds an air
mattress for her to sleep on!

We are truly thankful to the family who donated this great unexpected gift to us!
To God be the glory, great things He IS doing!!

Anchor Baptist Church

In the beginning of June, Terry & I traveled to Anchor Baptist Church
to help with a few small projects.....

I know it doesn't look much different. I didn't put the picture of the inside of
the tank on here. I believe Terry said the toilet was from the 1950's!!

He was also able to fix the last few basement steps at the Pastor's house....

I did not take an after picture of these!

We also sang a special and Terry gave an update on the ministry and a
challenge on Sunday night! We had a blessed time of fellowship with
this small, but very busy church!

Greater York ~ Almost Finished...

Things are about wrapping up at Greater York Baptist Church in east York.

Just waiting for doors & windows to arrive,and the sprinkler system to be
installed.

I'll post the final pictures when the project is complete.

Please continue to pray for this new church! That souls will be saved and added to
the congregation. And that those attending will grow in the Lord!

More at Greater York Baptist Church

                 Things are moving along at the Greater York Baptist Church!
                 They have had their first service April 2nd with 20+ visitors
                 from the community!

 This is the front of the building located at 2870 Eastern Boulevard in York.

The entrance for the church is here, at the back of the building. Doors just to the
right of the electric panels.

The door to enter the auditorium is barely seen through the steel beams of the
classroom on the left.

Another view of that same classroom of the left with an additional classroom
in the right corner, nursery in front of that and a corner of one of the bathroom
walls in the right front of the picture.



The dry wall is now finished as well as most of the painting! Carpet has been
laid as well! Things seem to be moving well, however, the doors and windows
have been ordered with a 4-6 week wait. Please pray they will be delivered
before that. Also, they are waiting for a sprinkler system to be installed as well.
Though they may be able to get a temporary occupancy permit without it.

Until the building is finished they will continue to meet at a local hotel conference
room. Please pray for the work there, both physically & spiritually. They need
our prayers!

Greater York Baptist Church

These pictures are the very beginning of the church renovation....
            just busting up the floor for a new bathroom.....
