What is New.....

After two months of lots of little projects, we headed west for a vacation/
ministry trip.

After one failed attempt, we arrived in Buena Vista, CO on Tuesday, August 30th.

Terry was able to give the challenge on Wednesday night.....

Another HUGE blessing for me was that all four of our children played an
offertory on Sunday morning! This was the first time they all played together
in a church service.....I will admit, it brought me to tears.

Playing "It Is Well"

We were able to sing a special as a family.....the WHOLE family! All six of us,
two son-in-laws & one soon to be son-in-law. The only one missing was our
grandson, he was in the nursery! Unfortunately, we did not get a picture.

Terry presented our ministry to the church and (PRAISE the Lord!) one family
decided to take us on for monthly support!

We praise the Lord for a great trip, time with family & being able to serve Him!

*I'm sorry for the poor pictures....I do not like to take pictures during church!

Gospel Light Baptist Church

This little country church is found outside of Millersville, PA.

Pastor Henise at the church on the work day we had there

The pastor had suffered several heart attacks and had to resign. Since Pastor Henise
had turned his church, Heritage Baptist, over to Pastor Hunt he decided to become
 the interim pastor there.
It is a great property, but the building was in need of some care. There was a water
leak in the men's room that needed attention right away.....

Sorry these pictures are so small, they were taken from Terry's phone. You can
see the extent of the water damage. The first picture show how the water was
soaking the carpet all the way out into the hallway!

Almost finished....

Final result!
He also cleaned & repaired their gutters.... They had water going into the building
because of clogged gutters. The nursery had mold on the walls...

Mrs. Henise & I spent most of one day cleaning this room! (Sorry, I didn't take a
final picture.) This room is to be painted.....then I'll take a picture.

Another problem that involved water was the basement. I did not get a before picture
but the basement fellowship hall had mud covering most of the floor! We had a work
day, and some of the men pressure washed & shop vacuumed  the floor! If you look
closely in the bottom left corner of the picture below you can see mud still on the
concrete. (This section is to be tiled.)

There is still much work to be done here.....scrubbing, tile work, painting, carpet
cleaning, lighting work.....please keep this project in your prayers. And look for
more updates to come!

And pray that God will call the right man & people to rebuild Gospel Light
 Baptist Church!

Mother's Day Blessings!

This Mother's Day was special for both Terry & me...

We went to services here....the Pastor's name is Ricardo Sarinaga

Pastor Ricardo & his wife have a very sad story.....
They were traveling in New Mexico when their van ran out of gas. He walked to
the closest gas station and was bringing gas back when, as he was crossing the
highway a car hit him.....and fled the scene. He laid for three hours before a church
group came upon them and stopped to help. He spent three months in the hospital
recovering; he has diabetes. His leg did not heal right, but he does not want to have
it re-broken, because, with the diabetes, it takes a long time for him to heal. He is
not in any way sad, angry or bitter....he just needs a way to make some money for
his family.

Pastor Ricardo & Terry

Enter Brother Hector....he chose a young man named Pastor Arturo to
teach Pastor Ricardo how to make bread & pasteries! Pastor Arturo had a church
but because of having to work so many hours in a factory, he had to give up his church.
Pastor Arturo knows how to make bread, so they will share the oven.

Pastor Ricardo, Brother Hector, Pastor Arturo, Pastor Ricardo's son-in-law & Terry
Brother Hector has told Pastor Arturo when he is ready, Bearing Precious Seed will
bring groups down to help him start a church! I am looking forward to the opportunity
to go down again next year and maybe be involved in that!

The second oven went here...

This is Pastor Angel Luna's church... this church already had plans for the oven
and they were so excited to get it! They told us they will use the oven for outreach
programs like VBS. They also plan for the ladies of the church to make cookies
with children so their mother's can hear the gospel! As I said, they were so excited
to get this oven, they had already posted about it's arrival and their excitement about
it on social media before we even got to the boarder!

Pastor Luna's wife, Terry, Brother Hector & Pastor Luna.
Pastor Luna and his wife will also use the oven to bake bread and pastries to sell
as well. I believe he may have muscular dystrophy.  He has been to several doctors
but they do not know what is wrong with him. He is in a wheelchair, but he is getting
stronger and can walk a short time on crutches.

After we delivered the second oven, we went back to Ebenezer Baptist Church for
lunch. We enjoyed the time of fellowship with their people, even though our Spanish
is so limited. It was a blessed Mother's Day, even though I did not get to spend the
majority of it with my children. God allowed us to be a part of some great things
during our time in Texas & Mexico and we look forward to what else He will have
us to do! He is a great God who does great things because He loves us!

Two More Ovens & Two Burger Carts

Brother Hector's burden for his people has turned out to be one of the
greatest blessings for us! He had the plans in mind for these pieces of
equipment to be made to help the national pastors in Juarez, but not
enough time to get them made.....this turned out to be the perfect
opportunity for us to help and receive a great blessing!

Just an Oven....

If you never read the post about the pizza oven click here  before reading this post....

This year when we went to Texas for the Juarez Project we finally got to meet the
pastor who has used the oven to provide for his family! What a blessing! His name
is Pastor Jorge & I believe his wife's is Maribella (some Spanish names are hard to
pronounce, let alone spell! And I did not get them to write it down.)

This picture is front from last year. They are the couple on the right.

Their story is so interesting...... They were both working full-time.....not 40 hours a
week, but 70! Making right around $90 each. He was also trying to pastor the church....
this church...

Antioch Baptist Church. The oven is in a small room in the back.
After he received the oven last year, he and his wife quit their jobs and started making
pastries & bread to sell at a local factory. Now they work three days a week together AND
with their children (they have a girl & a boy)! And they make enough money in those three
days that he can devote more time to the church!  We even got to sample some of the
things they make and they were all very good!

Praise the Lord! He took a simple idea Brother Hector had and multiplied the blessing of it
in a way only He could! All glory to God!

This led to the building of two more ovens & two hamburger carts on this year's trip.......but
there are stories and pictures that go along with those, so I'll post about them next time!

Hospitality House ~ Shrewsbury

Starting with a meeting with Pastor Feeser on December 31st, most of
the months of January & February were spent at Turnpike Baptist on
their hospitality house. Below are a few pictures Terry took with his
 phone.....

The goal of the remodel was to rewire and insulate the whole house. As you can
see, it is a BIG project! Most of the wiring has been completed and dry wall has
been started. There is still a lot to do though! Please keep this project in prayer.

November in a Nutshell....

Most of the month of November was spent finishing the storage room
that was started in September...the post about this can be seen here .
I will get some pictures of the finished room and update this post soon!

There was also the trip to Servant's Heart (see the last post) and work
on the house we are renting. Part of the rental agreement was for Terry
to get some small projects completed so when we get our travel trailer
our landlord can put his house up for sale. So he was busy tearing out
plaster, putting up drywall and painting. Sorry, no pictures!

We are trusting the Lord to provide a trailer for us soon as some recent
projects have Terry traveling over 50 miles one way! God knows what's
best and we are waiting on Him.

*Check back soon for those pictures!

Two More Trips to Servant's Heart Camp

Trip One ~ November 16-18....

Terry would make this trip with Josiah, Jordan & his brother Jared.
The goal was to frame the new cabin.....

And by the end of the three days....the walls were standing!

Trip 2 ~ December 15 & 16 ~

The goal of this quick trip was to put the cabin under roof....

Thank the Lord for a mild December! It allowed them to work without freezing!

I  must say they have become quite a team! We sure appreciate the hard work
these guys have put into helping at Servant's Heart....hopefully they'll be
willing to help on more projects!

Terry still needs to go back up and finish a few things on the roof yet.  AND
Praise the Lord....the money came in for the second cabin they wanted to build
before summer!  He will be returning back up there to lay the foundation, but
probably not until the weather is warmer. The Lord has brought along other
projects to keep him busy this winter, but those are for future posts!
