The Blessing of a Pizza Oven.....

Because we were at Bearing Precious Seed in El Paso a week before
the Juarez Project Terry was able to be a part of a blessing...

Every morning the men of BPS meet to pray and discuss what will be
done that day. Terry was able to meet with them.  Tuesday, Brother
Hector shared with them how he has had a burden to train the men
in the ministry in Juarez to be able to provide for their families. He was
thinking about a pizza oven and hamburger cart.He didn't have anything
drawn up or written down, but he had the idea of what he wanted.
He was too busy scheduling meetings and organizing the Juarez Project
to be able to work on anything. He kept making mention of it, so Terry finally
questioned him about what his plan was.

Wednesday he & Terry went to get the supplies and get started. They
worked pretty steady Thursday, Friday & Saturday..... And by
1:30 AM Sunday, the pizza oven was built !

We were able to take it into Juarez and Ofelia used it on Tuesday
to make pizzas for our group! The pastor who will use this oven is
in a wheelchair, so he is limited in where he can work. This will
provide a good job for him to support his family!

Thank God for Brother Hector and his burden for his people! He asked
if Terry could come down to help him all the time! Of course the answer
as always is..... if the Lord directs that way!

Please pray for this ministry, for Bearing Precious Seed's ministry this
summer, and for Brother Hector to have wisdom in working with all
the Mexican pastors.

Below are the pictures.....sorry for the quality, Terry took them on his
phone. (Except the last, that was taken in a church in Juarez where
Ofelia used it)

A Little Bit of Recreation...

On April 1st we flew out to El Paso to spend some time with Trevor & Olivia
over Resurrection Sunday, before we went along on the Juarez Project missions
trip with Bearing Precious Seed.

We got there in the afternoon, so we were able to go along to church with them
that night. Then Thursday we picked up a few groceries while Trevor was at work
for a quick camping trip to New Mexico. We left in the late afternoon and arrived
in time to fix supper. We made a lot of memories in just 2 short days! It was good
to be able to get out in the mountains again and read your Bible by the campfire...
Here are just a few pictures from that trip.....

Poor Liv was sick from bouncing so she got out & walked!

Nothing like campfire cookin' !

Yes, that's snow! The second night it was 28 degrees!

We thank God for the opportunity to see His wonderful creation! And to be able to do
it with family!

The Rest of March...

The rest of March was spent in various ways.......

....doing other small jobs for people at church

....making a QUICK trip to NC to visit our son-in-law and daughter
(leaving on a Thursday at 4:30 AM and returning Saturday late PM)

....having a three day music conference at church with Pastor Mike Foster from
      Deltona, FL

.... and getting ready for a trip to Texas and Mexico starting April 1!

God is so good to us! Even though we fail Him in so many ways, He forgives and
continues to use us....... What a GREAT God we serve!

Prophet's Chamber

March also saw the completion of our church's prophet's chamber.
Unfortunately I only took one before picture, and that was after
everything in the kitchen was taken out!
The half wall closest to the left in the picture was almost to the ceiling.....
creating a division between the kitchen and living area. He cut that away
and made a nice wide countertop that really opened up both areas!

This last picture is the bathroom that also received a complete overhaul too!

The bedroom can be seen through the door in the second to last picture. It
was freshly painted and had new carpet laid. Also, a stackable washer &
dryer was put into the closet since there was no washer or dryer up there.

Donnie was a big help with a lot of the work and Linda did a great job with
the decorating! Praise God for willing helpers!

Busy month of March

Wow! I am amazed how time flies! As I look back at the things I need to post
about, I am overwhelmed by all that the Lord has allowed us to take part in
in such a brief period of time!

March 1 started off by our leaving right after our morning service headed to
Tioga in a rain & sleet storm! We made it to Tabernacle Baptist Church with
time to spare! We were able to present our ministry and sing for the evening
service. Unfortunately it was snowing when we got there, so not too many of
their people were able to get out to the service. After service we got to go to
their new building to see the work that Terry was going to do for the week.

As you can see, there was quite a bit of tile to be laid in a week! Thankfully, Brother
Amarosa was there to help! They laid the small foyer outside the doors, the big entry
area and a coat room (that is where Terry is in the second picture). We were not able
to stay longer than a week, so Terry couldn't help to grout & finish the tile.

Big thanks to Seth for housing us for the week! We had a great time fellowshipping
in the evenings together! What a great start to the busy month of March!
